9:30 am @ St Stephen's Mittagong Our 9.30am service is contemporary in style and is designed especially for young families. We have great contemporary music, as well as items for the children, prayers, and preaching that aims to be relevant, interesting and applicable to everyday life. Parents and children are together in the church building for the first 20 minutes or so of the service and then the children leave for their own Sundaykids programme. Our meeting is relaxed and engaging with a story time and a song especially for the children in the opening 20 minutes. A band accompanies our contemporary songs and twice a term our special JAM band, made up of children aged 7-15, plays. Once a term we have a special Family Service where the children stay for the whole service and showcase what they have been learning and doing in Sundaykids and Kids Plus, our midweek kids club. We share communion once a month and children are encouraged to participate with their parents if they understand the meaning and significance of the Lords Supper. There is always an activity or programme for the children, even in school holidays. Morning tea is served in the foyer after the service.
