Rev. Richard Mills
Senior Minister / Rector
MA(Theol), BTh, Dip Arts
(On long service lead until June)
Richard Mills has been the Senior Minister (Rector) of Mittagong Anglican Church since 2004.
Growing up in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne, he became a Christian as a teenager, and later decided to study theology and ministry at Moore Theological College in Sydney. There Richard met his wife Marge where they were both studying for the Bachelor of Theology degree and were in the same year.
In 1992, they moved to South Granville where Richard was the Assistant Minister of Merrylands parish. During 1994 they moved on to Campbelltown parish, where Richard was the Assistant Minister, ran the branch church at Airds, and was part-time University chaplain at UWS Macarthur.
After three and a half years at Campbelltown, Richard was offered the position at West Ryde Anglican Church, where he was the Senior Minister for seven years, from 1997 to 2004. Richard completed his Master of Arts (Theology) part-time during this time, studying at Morling College and other colleges.
He is passionate about proclaiming the gospel in relevant ways and encouraging people in their Christian faith. He is keen to support, empower and equip people in the church for ministry. Interests include cycling, reading, watching sport, movies, and chocolate.
He and Marge have three children, Jonathan (19) Samuel (17, and the webmaster of this site) and Lucy (13).
Don Taylor
Assistant Minister
M Ed Leadership, MEdSt, BSc Dip Ed, ACCE, Dip B&Min (Current)
Don Taylor is our assistant minister (Full Time) who commenced work here in January 2011.
Previously, he worked for many years as a high school Maths and Science teacher / administrator in both Christian and government schools, before making the move into Church Ministry.
He has preached at a number of churches, lectured/tutored in Christian and Religious Education, and has been a church elder. He is a teacher at heart who loves the Lord, loves the Word, loves his family and (like most males) loves sport. He is happily married to his gorgeous wife Lesley and they have two beautiful daughters, Bethany & Elly.
Don oversees our Homegroups, Prayer Meetings and, among various other ministries, helps to lead YUC (our High School youth group) and Stevos (our Primary School kids club).
Rev. Canon John Livingstone
Assistant Minister (Part time)
M (Soc Admin), Thl, Dip
(Acting Senior Minister / Rector until June)
John Livingstone has been our part time assistant minister for the last few years.
With a wealth of ministry experience, he has previously been a rector in many churches in the diocese, including in Western Sydney, Normanhurst and Bowral, and served as director of Anglicare for a number of years. He is also a Canon Emeritus of St. Andrews Cathedral in Sydney.
John now regularly leads and coordinates our 8am service, and often preaches at all our services. He oversees many areas of our seniors' ministry at MAC, including pastoral care and hospital visits.
John is happily married to the wonderful Jan, who is also very involved in our church, coordinating our Mother's Union Group.
Dina Roki
Young Families Minister (Part Time)
Dina Roki is our young families minister.
As well as being involved in ministry, she has previously taught in various high schools, including at Faith Academy in the Philippines. In January 2011, she took a team of young people from MAC over to Manila to work with the Urban poor ministries, and at Faith Academy. Another team is going to Manila in January 2013
Dina oversees our children's ministries, including our 2 Mittagong and 1 Colo Vale Cubby Clubs, our Sundaykids programs at our 9.30 service, and our ministries to young families.
Julie Marks & Judi Rose
Office Administrators
Julie and Judi are our Office Administrators. They look after many admin matters regarding the church. If you ring or email the church office, these are the lovely people you'll speak to!
